ABOUT ME

Although I am currently an IT Manager, I am very hands-on, I often assign the more complex tasks to myself, I take on the majority of our Server, Networking and Outage issues and share the solutions through whiteboard sessions with my team.

By positively managing my employees and negotiating lower prices with my vendors I have decreased our IT budget by a minimum of 20% per year as IT Manager.

I was able to decrease our budget this year 40% by implementing the right long term solutions, vendor negotiations and choosing the right in-house talent, allowing us to lower vendor, maintenance, support and contractor costs.

I have completely redesigned our networking infrastructure utilizing Cisco Meraki equipment for all locations resulting in quadrupled speed and significantly reduced downtime.

Decreased our average open trouble tickets to 26% of previous and upped our first time resolution rate to 97% (from 43%).

I am currently responsible for all aspects of the IT Department, budgets, processes, projects, contract negotiations, vendor relations, high profile and/or complex technical issues, inter-departmental relationships, staff management and conflict resolution. As I currently work for a non-profit I very aggressively pursue the lowest possible pricing, utilizing my vendor relationships with local reps for Meraki, Lenovo, Mitel and Microsoft, as well as leveraging competitor bids for lowest possible pricing. In the last year alone I have saved my employer over $300,000.00 through reduced pricing.
